In those far off days, only candles and the firelight would brighten up the kitchens and parlour rooms ... These lustrous jugs, sitting on dressers or hanging on hooks from the ceilings, would radiate a warmth and cosiness , just like real copper does. They still have this wonderful effect today, buy one and see! circa 1850 For sale at £135 GB pounds.

9 TTPO9 Click Here for picture... Click HERE for larger PictureAnother Golden Oldie.A Jackfield red clay teapot of a good size prettily decorated with flowers in enamel paints. These teapots were firm favourites with the Barge folk, these were the British people who lived on the canals in their long barge boats, plying their trades up and down the hundreds of miles of canals that were very important "highways" in Victorian times, much as the motorways are in our modern times. There is a small chip repair to the lid, but that is all. c1870... £45 GB pounds.
